Claus Halle Lake Estate Sold

RE/MAX 400 North is proud to announce that one of their own, PETER EDWARDS, Owner of LanierLuxuryHomes.com Team, has successfully completed the sale of the Claus & Marianne Halle Lake Estate at 50 Laurel Trail, Dawsonville, Georgia. Claus Halle, the former Senior Vice President of Coca Cola and President of Coca Cola International, known for his philanthropy and fostering international understanding, built the residence in 2001. After his death in 2004, the Estate was jointly owned by Mrs. Halle and The Halle Foundation.

The representatives of Mrs. Halle and the Halle Foundation selected Peter Edwards & Lanier Luxury Homes.com to market the estate after interviewing a number of Greater Metro & Lake Lanier Realty companies. Mr. Edwards was selected because of his extensive knowledge of Lake Lanier real estate, his world wide marketing program, and his enthusiastic appreciation of the design and architecture of the Estate. The property went under contract within the first two weeks of listing, and closed 30 days later at full list price of $1,595,000.

It was at the Estate in 2003, that Claus and Mrs. Halle entertained former U.S., President George H.W. Bush; former President of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev; and former Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Helmet Kohl, following the Unification Conference in Atlanta, where more than 1000 leaders in business and education celebrated the thirteenth anniversary of the unification of East and West Germany. The 7000 plus square foot residence was built in the classic European Country style, fashioned in cut stone and concrete. The two story Great Hall with its huge stone fireplace, was the centerpiece of the residence.
