As a person who is literally on the road five days a week and with little time to investigate every property that might be of interest to my wife and me, I can't tell you how much we both appreciated our personal realtor, Pete Edwards.
Pete made every part of the home buying process easy. He not only was patient, but also took the time to explain each component of our buying a
house. And we needed someone who not only understood that we didn't make 'snap' decisions, but didn't try to pressure us into getting into a deal because they needed a commission.
Pete listened to what Julie and I were looking for in a house and at the price range we felt comfortable. He then spent his own time in doing the research in looking up homes that would meet our criteria. After he found houses, he worked on our schedule. That was important because there were times when I would call Pete in the morning and ask if he could show us some homes that day(sometimes even in a very short time). Pete would make arrangements to accommodate us whenever he possibly could.
Julie and I both valued Pete's prior home building experience. Pete would detect things that didn't seem that big of a deal to us, but were in fact, disasters ready to happen. Pete's expertise made sure we didn't fall into any trap doors that we couldn't get out of.
Unlike some other realtors that we had tried to work with, Pete was always accessible and a joy to deal with. He helped us to avoid issues that can easily trip up a transaction and smoothed out any bumps that we encountered.
Both Julie and I agree that Pete Edwards will be the realtor that we work with when we sell our current house as well as handle all of our new home buying business as well. Pete Edwards is our realtor for life.

This is an unsolicited Letter of Recommendation for the services of Mr. Peter Edwards,
Prudential Georgia Realty, Gainesville, Georgia. I am a retired US Air Force Colonel currently living in my 13th residence. As such I have dealt with numerous realtors throughout the country and I have yet to meet one who comes close to the professionalism, dedication, and tenaciousness of Pete Edwards.
Looking for a permanent retirement home, last July I contacted Pete from and Internet search locating his web-site. I told him that we were not familiar with the area but it did seem to meet our needs and asked if he could help us. Within two days he provided numerous listings based on the requirements we provided him. We then made plans to visit Gainesville for closer inspection. During this interim period, Pete researched and visited over 60 homes and provided additional listings for our review. When we arrived in Gainesville we were confident all available properties had been screened and Pete proceeded with appointments and tours. Of significant importance is the fact that Pete's initial presentation of homes included not his listings, but all listings in the area. It has been our experience that realtors typically show only their listings first as the commissions are higher. For the first time in our experience, this realtor actually placed our needs ahead of his own.
Once we had found our retirement home, Pete was instrumental in working with the listing realtor to help us negotiate the lowest price. Since the current owners were building a new house, and we were not prepared to move for nearly a year, Pete also negotiated (with no profit to himself) a leasing agreement. Since we are living out of town, Pete also volunteered to hire a property inspector whom he know to be reliable;
Volunteered to work with a local cabinet company to correct deficiencies; an personally worked with the current owners to correct a problem with pillars on the front porch of the house. Such above and beyond assistance is unheard of in our experience and we are most appreciative of his help.
Pete Edwards carries our highest recommendation as a totally professional, reliable and dedicated realtor. I am providing copies of this letter to Pete and asking that he present it to his clients. I will also be most happy to talk to any of his clients should they so desire.

When we first listed our Harbour Point home in early September 2001, no one could have
anticipated the awful events of 9/11 that would occur only days later. Hardly on our minds at that moment , but what we would realize later, was that the thought that our home might take years to sell..... due to the country's injured economy.
Months later, we were very pleased when you agreed to co-list our home with our existing agent to help promote the property in the Hall County lakefront market. We knew that you would be the best salesperson for our property since you were a Harbour Point resident and knew the benefits of lakefront living in such a spectacular community.
What we didn't know at the time.... was that we had enlisted the power of a marketing genius...you! Your creative marketing, especially the website advertising, gave our property a much needed boost in exposure. Your dogged efforts to continue to market the property, even in the slow market, were impressive. Each time we met and you supplied us with detailed reports showing your progress we were encouraged.
We also appreciated your extra efforts in working with us as 'absentee owners.' Since we were still living full time in New Jersey and traveling frequently, it was difficult to track us down. You went the extra mile in caring for our home in our absence.
Our sales transaction was a smooth one ' with no unexpected expenses or issues! That may have been a first. Considering the number of homes we have (collectively) purchased in our lifetime (which may exceed 20 at this point....) that is really saying something.

Having an urgent need to relocate and not knowing anything about the Forsyth or Hall County areas, our only avenue of information was the Internet. After searching many sites I found Pete's website with it's many options for buying or renting. What an awesome website! It helped with school and neighborhood info that was very important in relocating.
Pete was able to fit our family into the perfect community within a weeks time and two visits. He helped us find the home of our dreams.
